The RAC site has a useful tool for generating directions. You simply enter the starting and end points and it will calculate the fastest or shortest route, give you detail directions with distances and times along the way. The RAC are currently offering a reduced subscription of just 34 pounds on its breakdown cover for online bookings. Even if you have cover, you can postdate to start when your existoing cover expires to take advantage of this offer.
