Several of these sites (especially Yell.com) are totally indispensible and you will find yourself using them every week. In particular when you want to find a local restaurant, taxi service or shoe repair shop then you will soon be able to produce a relevant list in less time than it would take you to find the Yellow pages book.
Local Information
Yellow pages online. Search by type of shopservice or name of business and location. Details maps, web sites and of course the phone number. Much easier than flicking through that big paper book.
Select your neighbourhood by postcode and then find out local information from the council, schools, childcare, property prices, public transport and whats on.
