There are some spectacular kids sites on the internet that in the case of the under 5s means you can quickly introduce them to a PC, use the games to help them learn, and also save money by not having to buy some of the "pre shool" CDs you see in the shops which are nowhere near as sophisticated or entertaining as whats available for free online.
The BBC Cbeebies site in particular is a must for anyone who watches it on TV with lots of Teletubbies, Tweenies, Bob the builder and Fimbles games + all the other characters.
